"Changing One Life At A Time"
Teddy's Times Square in Shelby Township was the host for a special night on Friday, December 21st 2007.  On that night The Sabrina Black Foundation held a fundraiser, as well as officially adopted our 2nd cancer patient.  Craig Popovich of Bloomfield Hills was on hand to accept a $10,000 check from the Foundation to assist with his medical bills.

Craig is a survivor of Hodgkin's Disease, the very same form of cancer that ended up taking Sabrina Black's life, for whom the Foundation is named.  Craig brought along members of his family to take part in the evening.  Also present were 3 of Sabrina's brothers and one sister, Johnny, Michael, Tony & Theresa, Foundation Board Members Rebecca Thornton and Shelley Darmetko and even Santa Claus himself.

An additional and welcome surprise was the attendance of Laura Alexiou, the 1st cancer patient that the Foundation adopted back in September of 2007.  Laura was awarded a check from the Foundation for her medical bills during the 1st Annual Sabrina Black Foundation Awards Dinner.

The Sabrina Black Foundation wishes to thank WRIF, Miller Lite, Sports Authentics and everyone who came out and made the evening a huge success.  Their support allowed us to raise more than $2,200 for the Foundation!

Please find below some photos of the evening.  If you were there and shot photographs and would like us to post them, please e-mail Steve Black at black@sabrinablackfoundation.org!
